ColumbiaCare Services Workers File for Union Representation With Oregon AFSCME

PORTLAND, Ore. – Citing major safety and continuity of care concerns, a strong majority of 250 eligible residential behavioral health staff at ColumbiaCare Services, a statewide nonprofit based in Medford, submitted union authorization cards with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) this week. A union vote is likely to occur in February.

Yamhill County Workers Ratify Contract After Five-Day Strike

The Yamhill County Employee Association (YCEA)/AFSCME Local 1422 is proud to announce that its members have overwhelmingly voted to ratify the agreement reached with the county last week, after a five-day strike and work stoppage. The agreement highlights the collaborative efforts of these incredibly dedicated workers to address their key concerns and ensure a fair and equitable working environment for all workers.

Yamhill County Workers Win Strong Contract

FIVE DAY STRIKE RESULTS IN 13% WAGE INCREASES OVER THE LIFE OF THE CONTRACT Yamhill County workers represented by the Yamhill County Employees Association/AFSCME Local 1422, ended their five day strike after a 12 hour day of mediation, reaching a three-year tentative agreement with Yamhill County. Next, members of Local 1422 will vote to ratify the contract.

Multnomah County Dentists Authorize Strike Amid Concerns That Increased Workloads Will Impact Patient Care Quality

Multnomah County – Multnomah County Dentists, who care for Multnomah County’s most vulnerable residents, have reached a boiling point in their contract negotiations with the County, leading to Dentists overwhelmingly voting to authorize a strike.. They have expressed deep concerns with the County’s current contract offer, which includes a decision to increase the number of patients they see in a week without consideration to how this will impact the quality of care they are able to provide to their patients.
