The Yamhill County Employee Association (YCEA)/AFSCME Local 1422 is proud to announce that its members have overwhelmingly voted to ratify the agreement reached with the county last week, after a five-day strike and work stoppage. The agreement highlights the collaborative efforts of these incredibly dedicated workers to address their key concerns and ensure a fair and equitable working environment for all workers. 

The top contract highlights include:

FIVE DAY STRIKE RESULTS IN 13% WAGE INCREASES OVER THE LIFE OF THE CONTRACT Yamhill County workers represented by the Yamhill County Employees Association/AFSCME Local 1422, ended their five day strike after a 12 hour day of mediation, reaching a three-year tentative agreement with Yamhill County. Next, members of Local 1422 will vote to ratify the contract.

After nearly two years, the members of Oregon AFSCME Local 1246, Stabilization and Crisis Unit (SACU), have finally settled their grievance over unpaid mandatory call-backs - ensuring fair compensation for affected employees.

Multnomah County – Multnomah County Dentists, who care for Multnomah County’s most vulnerable residents, have reached a boiling point in their contract negotiations with the County, leading to Dentists overwhelmingly voting to authorize a strike.. They have expressed deep concerns with the County’s current contract offer, which includes a decision to increase the number of patients they see in a week without consideration to how this will impact the quality of care they are able to provide to their patients.
